Year end … is around the corner!

As we approach the end of November 2016 and head into the final 31 days of the year…as of midnight tonight… I am, once again, amazed at all that has transpired!

New friends made, old friends renewed; challenges surmounted, obstacles overcome; successes enjoyed, failures learnt from(great English!!.. but, you know what I mean…); supporters acknowledged, and those who don’t share your vision… enabled to continue on their own journey…(Different is…great! otherwise, we would all live a very boring life… yes?)

All in all, 2016 has once again shown me that the world we live in is made up of so many different people and personalities (as in a mosaic…) and that you just need to recognise these many different facets and try to work alongside…

As always, those that we surround ourselves with are there to lend a hand when needed, a shoulder when required and a laugh …always!

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone who reads this (hopefully, there are more than two….:)…….a safe and healthy festive season… filled with family, friends and an abundance of all things GOOD! And, equally important… I thank you for your support, your wisdom and advice and your friendship!!

Breakfast with Jean de Villiers

Breakfast with Jean de Villiers

So privileged to be part of the Team at The Boardwalk, that played host, this morning, to former Springbok Captain and as quoted by the President of SA Rugby: ” A true gentleman and Ambassador for SA”…Jean de Villiers!

The man is humble, yet passionate about this country and spared to truths, when relating his life story to a full house audience..

I am so very fortunate to be able to meet such awesome people and am grateful, each and every day, for my job…that I never stop loving… since I started in February 1988!

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Fifteen Years for Breast Cancer Fundraiser

For the past 15 years, I have organised and hosted a Fundraiser, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month – October – as a tribute to and in memory of my Mom… and 2016 was my final event, before handing over to the incredible women who volunteer for Look Good Feel Better Foundation..

Thousands of rands have been raised; Incredible Guest Speakers have availed themselves (at NO charge!), hundreds of women have supported and attended and I have been privileged to secure awesome Sponsors, thus enabling me to host these Events!

So…please keep an eye out for the 2017 Event, when Look Good Feel Better move from their role as Beneficiary to that of Host.. and…don’t forget to have your Mammogram!!!

“When I went outside to find friends…I couldn’t find one; When I went outside to BE a friend…They were everywhere!”
